Barnhart Balfour Beatty received a Merit Award for the San Diego Supercomputer Expansion from the Associated General Contractors of America (AGC), San Diego Chapter.
Barnhart Balfour Beatty received the Award in the Unique Special Project Category for the project which doubled the size of the national science, engineering and technology center, adding additional data space to store trillions of bytes of information and powerful supercomputers, and has more than 400 professional multidisciplinary staff members. The building is located at the University of California, San Diego.
The San Diego AGC annually recognizes the outstanding contributions of its members to the San Diego construction industry through its awards program. A panel of six judges representing building owners and the architectural community select the award winners.
